We have selected El Cuyo as our destination for our next retreat: "Inner Waves: Hypnotherapy, Body Love + Astrology."
Far enough away from the bustle of Cancun and Riviera Maya, but close enough to benefit from cost-effective airfare to Cancun airport, El Cuyo is a part of Mexico that is well preserved against the tourist hordes.
We are coming together in a small, intimate community to explore our subconscious, how we care for our bodies and also to enjoy laughter and companionship of like-minded people.
Top-notch vegan meals (with local ingredients) will be served for breakfast and dinner, allowing you the spaciousness of exploring El Cuyo and its great cuisine (perhaps seafood) during the day.
In addition to yoga classes, hypnotherapy sessions, astrology workshops, massage, energy and bodywork workshops, we'll be spending a lot of time on the beach at El Cuyo, and even going to the natural preserve of Rio Lagartos where thousands of flamingos call home.
The structure of our days will be open, starting with vinyasa yoga, meditation and breakfast and then giving lots of spaciousness to explore the area before we spend the heat of the day in the relaxing shade of Casa Mia El Cuyo. Each afternoon will end with a sunset yin/hatha yoga practice and a meditation or group hypnosis or lunar ritual.
We will be working with the themes of the dark moon (releasing) and the new moon (magnetizing) in the beautiful Piscean season of creativity, expansion and dreams.
Where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Caribbean Sea, the winds of this region are beloved by kite surfers, and if you wanted to partake in a kite surfing class or rent the gear and trying it out for yourself, this is a fantastic place to do it.

Covid-19
We are monitoring the situation of Covid-19 as it affects Mexico and the rest of the world. We are happy to discuss the precautions we plan on taking in order ensure the safety of our guests, our hosts and ourselves.
We ask that all unvaccinated guests present a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival. And that ALL guests avoid interaction in large groups for at least 72 hours before arriving.
The Accommodation
Just steps from the wild beach in the small village of El Cuyo, on an island off the coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. There are five rooms (3 private and two shared) available at Casa Mia and one shared room is available at Can Cocal, just five minutes walk down the road. The retreat including all meals will be hosted at Casa Mia.
We have selected these accommodations for their proximity to the beach, their comfort and ample space for our activities and also for relaxing and alone time.
Wake up with the sunrise each morning over the jungle and set over the ocean.
If you are coming in a couple or as 2 friends or family who wish to share a king-size bed, the price is 1300 USD per person.
To arrive:
Located 2.5 hours via shuttle from Cancun International Airport (CUN). We will arrange pick up in an air-conditioned van from Cancun airport and downtown on the early afternoon of February 26 and a return trip on the morning of March 5. This is included. Please contact us about pick up and departure time before purchasing your flights.
If you’d like to arrive or depart separately, or on different days, you can take a bus or private taxi from Cancun or Merida, though this is not included in the price of the retreat.
The food:
Local vegan cuisine will be provided for breakfast and dinner from fabulous, local Naia Cafe.
